Groundbreaking provides hydrovacs for the purpose of locating and exposing buried facilities, along with general hydro excavation.
Daylighting
The process of hydro excavation to provide eye sight of a buried cable, pipe, fiber line, electrical and pipelines.
Using the process of hydro excavation, soil is safely removed above the buried facility to bring daylight to it. This is where the term daylighting came from. This method provides an exact location of buried facilities.

Trenching
The ability to excavate earth to required specifications.
Trenching is a general term for excavating a long a path. The trenches can be dug for a number of reasons. A wide trench can be used to lay in pipework. Slit trenches are typical only few inches wide and are used to quickly find any crossing buried facilities or are used to prove that there are no adjacent lines in the area.
Emergency Response
Quick mobilization to respond to immediate repairs.
Quick response is critical when lines are unintentional broken. Any type of buried facility break or damage, needs immediate locating. This can include, water main breaks, gas leaks, sewer line damage, broken fiber or communication lines and damage to electrical lines.

Utility Pole Hole
Hydro excavation to remove or install hydro poles.
Deep holes like the ones for hydro poles are easily created by using the high pressure lance and blower system. These holes are dug to exact specifications reducing the amount of back fill needed. This method can also be used to loosen material around the pole to either remove it or to make an alignment change.
Service Pits
Safe excavation to remove or install all sizes of service pits.
Removing a service pit like the ones for data distribution can only safely be dug up with the use of a hydrovac as the number of cables is immense. For installing a service pit, our hydrovacs can easily create the hole for the box to the required size and create curves to ease with the installation of large cables.

Manhole/Catch Basin Cleaning
Ability to clean and remove debris from basins.
Man holes or catch basins are often filled with road sand and other debris. The Hydrovacs are able to use the onboard water tanks to effectively clean lines, cables and the walls prior to entry. The debris and water can be removed easily to be disposed of at an approved dump.
Streaming & Thawing
The use of hot water or steam to de-ice and thaw lines, services, culverts and pipework.
Boiler systems onboard the units are able to produce high volumes of hot water to safely melt or de-ice equipment. This includes thawing underground lines that have ice built up. Steam can also be utilized to clean surfaces/equipment including grease, oils, ice, and dirt.
